Philanthropic Finesse was born of my desire to share, educate and encourage dialogue about issues in the land of giving. As a long-time professional fundraiser, I’ve secured millions of dollars in donations, mostly for colleges and universities in Chicago. I’ve volunteered on numerous non-profit boards and consulted with small not-for-profit organizations. My efforts helped erect new campus buildings, renovate old ones, fund endowed chairs to hire the best professors, create scholarships for talented and needy students, initiate community outreach programs and launch new instructional initiatives.
My hope is that my posts will spark interactive dialogue and idea exchange on all facets of philanthropy. This is a place for knowledge and information sharing. Non-profit organizations will introduce their missions and services to new audiences. Recipients of philanthropy will share their stories. Individuals will find ways to make a difference because ALL GIVING MATTERS.
