Wow! The Walton Family Foundation has “invested” over $385,000,000 in charter schools in the last 20 years, almost 25% of charter schools built during that time. I am not necessarily surprised that the owners of Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club are pro-charter schools, but the magnitude by which they are doing so is astounding. The family is already dominating the low-cost, we don’t pay our employees a fair wage food sector. So what does this “investment” in charter schools really mean?
